Student life at Grace Church

Students@7

Every Sunday evening during term we have our student bible study. We meet in a cosy home environment, with plenty of time to hang out, chat and eat a tasty meal together. We then learn more about Jesus by digging into the bible, and discussing it in smaller groups. This is our central student-focused activity at Grace Church, and many of our students would say that coming along has been transformative for them, both relationally and spiritually.

We also have other events happening on Sunday evenings throughout the year including prayer meetings, socials, and Christmas/Summer parties.

Weekend away

We run weekends away every year – a great time to escape out of the city for the chance to deepen relationships, get focused bible teaching, and have fun! This academic year we’ll be heading to the Peak District, 21–23 March 2025.

Wider church life

Although we have a specific programme for students, we are passionate about you being integrated into the wider church family. You’ll be given opportunities to serve, come into church membership, and get to know other Christians outside the student bubble. All in all, our students are a core part of our church, and we want you to feel as much connection and ownership as anyone else in Grace Church!

One-to-ones

We give our students the opportunity for one-on-one mentoring, where you can meet up regularly with an older Christian at Grace Church. This is a great way to receive personal input and support in your Christian life whilst you’re with us.

Adopt a student

If you’re looking for an opportunity to break out of the student bubble, we offer the chance to be ‘adopted’ by a family or couple in the church and welcomed into their home a couple of times a term to share life together.
