Midweek

There's always lots going on at Grace Church. These include one-off and annual events as well as more regular groups. In addition to those listed below, we run all manner of other occasional courses and seminars on an ad hoc basis covering such things as evangelism training, church history, and theological issues. Keep an eye on the Calendar for details of upcoming seminars. If you're interested in finding out more, please feel free to  us.

Basketball

On Thursday nights we run a Basketball game at Manchester Grammar School, with the specific intention of welcoming internationals who live in Manchester.

Cafe 3-16

This cafe is run for international students, and meets during term time on Wednesday afternoons. It's a chance to meet other students from around the world, enjoy free tea, coffee and cake, and practise English. It is run by the Manchester University Christian Union students.

Community Groups

Most people who come to Grace Church are part of a community group. The groups meet up weekly for Bible study, prayer, mutual support and encouragement with an aim of reaching out to specific communities. If you'd like to find out more, please see our community group pages.

Fellowship Lunch

Each Sunday we share lunch together after church, either in small groups, community groups or, once a month, we have a Bring and Share lunch at the Bridge Club.

Football

We run a weekly football game on Tuesday evenings at Fit City Ordsall (7pm). Anyone is welcome. We also host an annual 7 a-side football tournament.

Globe Cafe

This is run by a team of Christians in Manchester and is a place for international students to meet and make friends, as well as practise their English. Visit the Friends International page for more details.

Parents & Children

We have various informal activities for parents and children, as well as a Kid's Club and Creche during our Sunday meetings.

Introducing Christianity

For those interested in exploring the basics of the Christian faith we run regular enquirers' courses. The down-to-earth presentation of Jesus and his teaching works through a Gospel, one of the four Biblical biographies of Jesus Christ. For details about our next course, please  us.

Prayer meetings

There is a weekly Bible study on Sunday evenings and we have a whole church prayer meeting on the first Wednesday of each month, 7.30pm for 8pm at Mike and Melissa's with a light tea. Community groups also spend part of their meeting time praying together and for each other.

The Journey Home

This is a course digging deeper into theological topics such as 'The Trinity' and 'Justification by Faith'. We meet once a month after church to look at the Biblical understanding of the different subjects, which we then discuss more in community groups and small groups throughout the rest of the month.

Women's Bible Study

We also have a weekly womens' bible study on Friday mornings during term time.

Midweek

Out of all the churches that I've been to, I found this one to be the easiest place to strike up a conversation with anyone, about anything.
